Reaper and Death Shroud

Here are models for my homebrew Heroes: The Reaper and her Death Shroud shapeshift. They were my first homebrew from all the way back in July but I only just finished painting them. The models are Vampiress and Ghost of Christmas Future (both from Capsule Chibi). There were some minor conversions: I filed off Vampiress’s tooth and cut away the holly and bell from the hood of the ghost, filling in the gaps with putty.

The Reaper is very fiddly to play compared to other Heroes, but she has been extensively play-tested by this point and we think she’s balanced and fills a tank role well.

Arcadian Scarab Nest

Ninja Division designed some alternate rules for the Nether Elves which ultimately never got released. I decided to make my own proxy version of the desert elves inspired by one of my favourite movies; The Mummy.

The flesh-eating scarabs from the movie replace the original desert spiders. These were sourced from Greenstuff World. There are two types of scarabs, the flying ones which are elites and the crawling ones which are minions. I built up flying swarms with greenstuff and covered it in sand to represent a desert whirlwind. The scarabs are painted with P3 inks which mimic the iridescence of an oil slick in different lights. It comes pretty close to the effect I was after.

The spawning point was made with greenstuff crystals, which I now regret. Next time I will use 3D printed crystals which will be easier and look better. The nest also uses the eggs that came with the Greenstuff World beetles. I used Nurgle’s Rot technical paint to get a gross slime effect. The proxy for the priestess which I’ve named Keeper of the Dead comes from Capsule Chibi’s Anubis-chan. She has a minor conversion where I rotated her waving hand and added a bug. Because the beetles were very brittle and fragile, I added greenstuff to the Keeper’s scarab to support it and hopefully prevent breakages.

I also redesigned the cards to fit the new models. These proxies use the exact same rules as the original desert elves. These are for personal use only, original copyright holder for Super Dungeon is Ninja Division.

I have plans to proxy the other desert models, but it won’t be anytime soon as my projects list is long.

Felyne Knight

I have always painted my Super Dungeon freyjans as actual cat people with fur, and I’ve always wanted an albino one. Now that Ninja Division has gone bankrupt I’ve started branching out with proxies and experimenting with homebrew characters. The Felyne Knight is from Capsule Chibi and I’m using her as a proxy for White Knight Candy.

To achieve her albino look I painted her eyes with red pupils and outlines instead of the usual black. I think it really works!

I made some proxy cards – they are the same as White Knight Candy but I also added the Nine Lives rule as she is now a freyjan. These are for personal use only, original copyright holder for Super Dungeon is Ninja Division.

Millie the Millipede

Millie the Millipede is my first miniature from Capsule Chibi. I’ll be using her as a proxy for a dungeon boss in Super Dungeon Explore.

Millie the Millipede

I tried to make her eyes look like a praying mantis’s eyes.

I also made some proxy cards – they are the Krampus cards redone to give them a different flavour. These are for personal use only, original copyright holder for Super Dungeon is Ninja Division.
