The new Satyxis Gunslingers are out and even though I don’t plan on playing my Cryx again anytime soon, I wanted to paint them. So I finished up the last of my unpainted Cryx models. My Pistol Wraith:

And Scarlock Thrall:

I finished Bane Lord Tartarus. I still haven’t gotten the hang of the lightbox, but I’m happy with the way the colours swirl and change colour on the bottom half of this model.

I know most people paint the strips hanging off the Machine Wraith as cloth, but I made mine strips of flesh because Cryx are creepy.

I did a very small conversion on my Bane Riders. I changed the angles of the leader mount’s rear legs so that it’s rearing up above the others. The Denny bit on the base is an extra I had laying around. I was going to use it as my pDenny but in the end I preferred the plastic one. Now it will become a bronze statue seeping into the sludge. I also swapped the arms of two riders to avoid duplicates.

Here are the finished models. Sorry about the photo quality. The Bane Riders have an amazing amount of detail on them and the large bases took extra long to dry.

My Bane Thralls are finished. I was still in the process of figuring out how to best use my new lightbox.

Here’s a better picture of the standard bearer:

The Warwitch Siren was super quick and fun to finish.

Here are my Nightwretches. One of them has fallen in the goop!

To make the drips of goo I dried some water effects in long strips and glued them onto the model with a little PVA. Then I covered them with a layer of fresh water effects gel.

I experimented with the green goop on the Slayer’s base, making a little waterfall coming out of the tube.
